Welcome ようこそ!This is the Japanese Language and Culture major, Visual & Public Art minor ePortfolio of Kevin Goodrich, at California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB). This is where you will find all the information you need to know about me, my educational pursuits and accomplishments through CSUMB, and the skills I have acquired from these experiences
Graduating in Spring 2020 after 4 years, I am also a U.S. Navy veteran, having served for 3 and a half years prior to attending CSUMB. about meMy name is Kevin Goodrich, I was born in the mountainous state of Tennessee in 1992 and I grew up in Austin, TX until 2010, when I moved to Japan for one year of high school, an experience that would impact me to this day. I contacted and applied to do so through AFS and until 2011 I attended Okazaki-Nishi High School as an exchange student, living with various host families in the Aichi prefecture.
I would later move back to Japan during my military service and live on various military bases around the Kanagawa/Tokyo area for two years. A few years later down the road and I have lived in Japan yet again during my time at CSUMB for one year of study abroad at Dokkyo University, where I completed an intensive Japanese language program. With these experiences I have a unique perspective of life in Japan. This page primarily focuses on and emphasizes my time at CSUMB and my accomplishments in my degree, so please take a look through my page. You may also find my resume and integrated learning plan to the left. |
